Why Little Birdie

The name Little Birdie carries a deeply personal meaning for me. It began on a day filled with both grief and love, the day of a gathering to honor my mother’s life. As I placed a wreath on the door to welcome friends and family, a little robin appeared.

It wasn’t just any passing moment. This robin stood so very close to me, unafraid, for several minutes. It felt as though time had stopped. In that quiet space, I felt my mother’s presence—gentle, steady, and watching over me. The robin’s gaze felt like her eyes, her comfort, her way of letting me know she was still near.

That moment stayed with me, and it became the heart of my business. Little Birdie is more than a name. It is a reminder of love that endures beyond distance and time, of comfort in life’s tender moments, and of the small, beautiful signs that those we love never truly leave us.
